Access menu without Sim card
When display say "Wrong Pin" press NO and you have access to the all menus: Info, Access, Settings, Calculator, Clock, Key lock On?, Mail, Phone book. NOTE if you try this on your phone may stop at Key lock On? menu and you'll have to take your battery out to turn the phone on again. And this will not care about Phone lock!
A way to (un)lock your cell phone on to the network(subset) :
1. Press <**<
2. Then on the display appear and give you two choices: Lock to Network ? and Lock to Network subset? (Use arrow keys to select)
3. Enter the NCK number (code is provided by the SP)
4. You have 5 attemps to do this
5. Then your cell phone will work 'only' with the networkWarning: The Service Provider (SP) Lock menu is used to lock the cell phone to the SP's SIM card. Once the cell phone is locked to a specific operator, if one inserts a SIM card from a different operator the phone will refuse to accept it! The cell phone will however accept another SIM card from the same operator. To activate/deactivate this lock one needs a special secret code that is not available to the end user. Your phone can be locked to a service provider FOREVER by doing this! If an invalid code is entered all five times, the menu will exit and be deactivated! Any further attempt to activate the NCK/NSCK lock Menu will result in the response "Not allowed"! However the NCK/NSCK lock can be recover through a direct clearing in the EEPROM

When typing SMS messages, you have to wait some seconds before you can type the next letter if it is in the same button than the previous one. For example try to write the word "letter", you have to wait before you can enter the second "t".. A much faster solution is to press the # button twice and then the letter "t".

Bypass the SP lock
The service provider (SP) lock is used to lock the cell phone to the SP's SIM card. Once the cell phone is locked to a specific operator, if one inserts a SIM card from a different operator the phone will refuse to accept it! The cell phone will however accept another SIM card from the same operator.
With a Nokia 16xx/21xx/31xx/ 51xx/81xx that are SIMlocked to one provide you can bypass the SP lock like this:
1: Insert sim card of different provider.
2: Turn on the phone and press the UP VOLUME key for 3 sec. then release it and the phone says PIN CODE?
3: Press the "C" key.
4: Then Press * and wait until it disappear and appear again, then press * one more time and 04*PIN*PIN*PIN#
the phone now says: PIN CODE CHANGED (or ACCEPTED) and the SIM card is accepted until you restart the phone again.
NOTE: On version 5.04 Nokia has removed this option!
Your number in your display
1. Go to menu 3-7 Call cost settings.
2. Turn ON the Call costs' limit 3-7-1. PIN2 code Required.
3. Put in the limit with the phone number. eg. my phone # is 019 2184697 Enter the limit as 2184697
4. Go to menu 3-7-2 Show costs in. PIN2 code Required.
5. Select Currency.
6. Enter Unit price: 1
7. Enter Currency name as 019 (per my phone # eg. above)now the phone number 019 2184697 will remains on the 4th row of the display.
Secondly, if you press the # key, it prompts which line to be used; Line 1 or 2.

Discard cell barred information.
Should work on all software versions.
1. Go to calendar (menu - 8)
2. Make note / reminder
3. Enter some text into the edit box
4 . Hold clear until whole text is cleared, then press Back
5. Press 0. Main screen is shown but a space appears on the screen. You can't see it of course.
6. Enter 4 digits (1234, for example)
7. Use the down arrow to move the cursor to the left side of the numbers and the space (2 times down arrow)
8. Now enter 6 digits and press the green "Call button".Wait some seconds...
the phone will now flash the background light and finally reboot.
The trick should also work on other menus like the profile menu...

Number Only Input!!FIX!!
Lots of people are complaining that they cant type any alphabets. No matter how hard they press the "ABC" button, the alphabet mode just wont appear. This is apparently a known issue after you have installed wildskin. IF YOU STILL HAVE WILDSKIN INSTALLED, UNinstall Wildskin then follow the steps below.
- Open Fexplorer
- GOTO C:\system
- DELETE System.ini
Now RESTART your phone system.ini will be automatically generated again and you would be able to input any alphabet again.

If u need to format ur fone but dont wish to erase ur bookmarks notes and even contacts etc.lets backup it simply

These tricks r not applicable in Nseries and later.Pls always do a backup copy of ur contacts to sim or memory before trying this.

1) Install tweakmaster pro

Allowing Network Access with Blank Passwords (XP and Vista):
Although you can log in locally without a password, by default, WindowsXP Pro does not allow network users to access the computer without a password. Typically you will receive an Unknown error 31 if this is the case.
To change this setting:
Run gpedit.msc
Go to Computer Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Local Policies / Security OptionsDouble click on Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console login only
Disable this option.
Disabling the F3 Search Key:
If you want to disable the ability to use the F3 key from either the Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions
Create a Dword value called NoFindFiles
Give it a value of 1
Reboot
Preventing Changes to File Associations:
You can prevent users from changing associations via Windows Explorer's Tools / Folder Options / File Types tab.
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explore
Create REG_DWORD data type NoFileAssociate
Give it a value of 1
Locking File Associations:
If you have your file associations the way you want for a particular file type, you can remove it from the list that gets displayed in the Folder Options / File Types screen
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
Scroll to the file association you want to lock.
In the right panel, create a new Binary value
Call it EditFlags
Give it a value of 01 00 00 00
Now when you go to the Folder Options / File Types screen, you won't see that file type listed
Changing the Location Of Special Folders:
You can modify the registry to change the location of special folders like:
My Documents
Favorites
My Pictures
Personal
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Double click on any locations you want to change and alter the path
Logoff or restart for the changes to go into effect
Note: TweakUI from Microsoft will allow you to make these changes from a dialog box as well
Deleting Specific Registry Value:
In a previous tip, Automatically Deleting a Registry Key, it was mentioned how to remove an entire registry key.If you want to simply remove a specific value within a key, use the syntax below:
[Registry Key]"value"=
For example:
REGEDIT4[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] "MSConfig"=-would delete the value MSCONFIG.
Preparing to Move Hard Drive to Another Computer:
To remove the devices from device manager when taking a HD from one computer to another,simply:
Run Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ and delete the Enum section
This removes all of the hardware specific settings
Comparing Registries:
While working with changes to your system, you might want to see what is changing in your Registry.Since you can export it to a text file, the steps are fairly easy
Start Regedit
With the very top level select - My Computer, on the Toolbar select Registry / Export Registry File
I usually save it to the root of the C: drive with the name before (you don't need to add an extension)Make the change to your system
Go back to Regedit
Press F5 to update it
Export the Registry like step 2
Name the file after and have it go in the same directory
Open up a DOS window
Go to the directory where the two exported files are
Enter FC before.reg after.reg > diff.txt
Then you can edit diff.txt with your favorite text editor.
Note: I do the last steps so often I have a simple batch file already set up
Restoring a Lost Desktop:
If you ever lose the Desktop but Explorer is still running with the Start Button, you can do this to bring back your Desktop in a Windows box.

Creating Shutdown, Restart and Logoff Icons:
To create the icons, create a shortcut on the desktop.
For Shutdown, the command is C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL.EXE user.exe,exitwindows
For Restart, the command is C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL.EXE user.exe,exitwindowsexec
For Logoff, the command is C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL.EXE shell32.dll,SHExitWindowsEx 0
Having your Favorites and Start Menus Sort Alphabetically:
If your Start Menu Program or Favorites are not sorting alphabetically, it is easy to fix this:
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/MenuOrder
Under here is are Favorites and Start Menu folders
In each there is a value called Order
Simply delete (or rename this) and restart Winodws
Your Favorites or Start Menus should now sort alphabetically
Increasing the Icon Cache:
Run Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer
Create a new string called Max Cached Icons
Give it a value of 10000
This will increase response time in windows and give the Shellicon cache file more elbow room
Make Icons 256 Color 16-Bit:
Open the Registry
Hit Ctrl+F
Type Shell Icon BPP
When found, right click the Shell Icon BPP icon
Click Modify
Change the value from 4 to 16
Click Ok
Close the registry
Restart your computer
Removing Shortcut Arrows:
An easy way to remove those irritating arrows from your desktop shortcut icons and not change their properties
Right click the Desktop / Properties / Appearance tab
Select Item
Scroll for Icon
The default size is 32
Change this to 30
Clicking Apply
Creating a desktop shortcut for locking your compuTER:
If you use your computer in an area where others may have access to it, and there are things on your system you would rather have kept confidential, locking your desktop when you leave the computer is an essential task. Here's a recipe for a desktop shortcut that will lock your computer in two easy clicks:
Right click on an empty area of the desktop and choose 'new' then 'shortcut.' The create shortcut wizard will open; in the first text box, type '%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation' and then give your shortcut an appropriate name on the next page, and hit 'finish.'
You will notice that the shortcut you created has a blank icon. To select a more appropriate one, right click on the shortcut and hit 'properties.' In the 'shortcut' tab, click the 'change icon' button.
In the 'look for icons in this file' box, type '%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll' then click 'ok' to see a range of icons for your new shortcut. Choose an appropriate icon. Your desktop locking shortcut is now ready for use.

To convert a FAT partition to NTFS:
Click Start, click Programs, and then click Command Prompt.
In Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type cmd and then click OK.
At the command prompt, type CONVERT [driveletter]: /FS:NTFS.
Convert.exe will attempt to convert the partition to NTFS.
NOTE: Although the chance of corruption or data loss during the conversion from FAT to NTFS is minimal, it is best to perform a full backup of the data on the drive that it is to be converted prior to executing the convert command. It is also recommended to verify the integrity of the backup before proceeding, as well as to run RDISK and update the emergency repair disk (ERD).
Removing Multiple Boot Screens:
If you are getting unwanted multiple boot screen
Then Follow these Steps.
1> Right Click on My Computer
2>Select Properties
3>Select Advanced Tab
4>Select Settings In the Startup & Recovery Section(3rd grp)
5>Select the operating system which u want.
6>And Click OK.
7>Further again press the setting and click on Edit.
8>It will open boot.ini File.
9>Now u can delete those o/s which you don't want to be displayed.

Change your Mobile font Tested in N73 and Success
Many guys are trying to change the font for their mobile. There are two method for changing font... I tried N73 ME. I may be applicable for all s60v3 mobile models
Two type for installing the Fonts
1.Normal mobile ( Not hacked)
2.Hacked mobile using BinPDa SecMan method for hacking your mobile see this post.
Things required:
1.PC
2.data cable
3.card reader ( if possible)
4.Mobile phone
5.X-plore
6.SecMan ( for hacked phone only)
7.Don't forget to take your favorite font (only TTF font type)
Let us choose our own font to apply
In your PC browse C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\OLDENGL.TTF (choose a font here)
copy the font to the desktop rename the font as ( NOSNR60.ttf , NSSB60.ttf,NSTSB60.ttf)
Now let us change the font
Normal mobile ( Not hacked)
To install font(without card reader)
1. Connect your phone via mass storage
2. Open "resource" folder on memory card
3. Create "fonts" folder
4. Copy the files into that folder
5. Restart your phone
To remove font or installing new font
1. Turn off your phone
2. Remove memory card
3. Turn on your phone and wait for it until it goes on standby
4. Insert memory card
5. Wait for a minute
6. Connect your data cable and choose mass storage
7. Open the "fonts" folder
8. Delete or replace the set of fonts
9. RestartFor Hacked mobile
To install font :
connect your mobile via PC suite and copy the fonts ( NOSNR60.ttf , NSSB60.ttf,NSTSB60.ttf) to your memory card. Here after no need to connect your mobile with PC
Due to security reasons we cannot create a fonts folder inside the resource folder.
open the Secman to break the security
TurnPlat.security ON
install root Certificate
open X-plore
you will see the old English font ( NOSNR60.ttf , NSSB60.ttf,NSTSB60.ttf)
Select all the three files ( not the entire old english folder)
Copy the three font files by pressing the key 1
Now Navigate to the Resource folder
create a directory inside the resource folder
Create a directory called "fonts"
Paste all the three font files that we copied previously
Restart your mobile
Now the Old English font is applied ( Success )
To remove font or installing new font:
Turn off your phone
Remove memory card
Turn on your phone ( your mobile should show the default font )
break the security using SecMan
Now insert your memory card.
using the X-plore Delete the whole font directory under resource Directory.

Blogger Felix Geisendorfer points out a clever URL hack that scored him free Wi-Fi at the Atlanta airport.
I found that I could easily visit sites like slashdot, Google, or even this weblog, when adding a ?.jpg at the end of the url. The next logical step was to automate that. I downloaded Greasemonkey and wrote a 4 line script that would add ?.jpg to every link in a document. That way I was able to browse most sites without a hassle.
This trick will only work on Wi-Fi networks that allow images to go through without a redirect, and though it may seem like a bit of a stretch, it's better than shelling out $7 for 30 minutes of Wi-Fi. Unfortunately the author didn't make the Greasemonkey script available, but even without it you could get in some decent browsing. The post isn't new, and I haven't tested this, so if you've ever used this trick or you're at an airport or Wi-Fi hotspot and can give it a try, let's hear how it worked for you in the comments..

DUPLICATE UR PHONE CONTACTS
This trick works for any phone that uses a SIM card, allows you to transfer your numbers to a new handset, you don’t have to buy a phone to computer cord (which will save $20), and best of all it is free.
Just follow these simple instructions.
1. Start by asking your mobile provider for a replacement SIM card. You will probably need to go to your own mobile providers shop, since some handsets are locked to only work with your own provider.
2. On your phone, go to your contacts section, and check whether your contacts are saved to your SIM card, or phone. On a Nokia, this is in the Menu>contacts>settings>Memory in Use section. Make sure that it isn’t setup to be both SIM and Phone.
3. Find the section labelled ‘copy’. On some phones, this is in the contacts>settings sections. On other phones, you have to scroll through your contacts, click on a contact, click options, and scroll down until you find ‘copy’ .
4. Click copy all. If your contacts are stored on your SIM memory, you want to copy all of your contacts over to your phone. If they are stored in the SIM, you want a second copy on your phone. Make sure you copy, don’t move or delete.
5. Insert the replacement SIM card you collected from your phone provider, and copy all of the contacts onto it by repeating step 4.
6. Put your original SIM back into the phone, and like magic, if you ever loose your phone, you can repeat step 4 with the new phone in reverse by copying all of the contacts onto the new handset.
Troubleshooting:
Make sure you don’t have two copies of all of your contacts on your phone after all of this. This will cause your phone to not show the phone number. You may need to change the memory that you use to only read the SIM card, or Phone memory. Follow the instructions at step 4.
If your mobile reads: SIM not recognised, try pulling the SIM out and replacing it again. Secondly, check that you’ve got the SIM card from the same company. If not, call your phone provider and ask them to unlock your phone to allow other SIMs. Sometimes companies will charge for this service.

BACKUP UR MOBILE PHONE CONTACTS,TEXT MESSAGES,PHOTOS
Depending on what phone you've got, backing up your contacts, messages and pictures can either be really easy or a complete nightmare. Hopefully, you've got a phone that's relatively straightforward, but if not don't fear -- there's usually a solution if you're prepared to spend some quality time with your handset.
The first thing to try is using your phone's software, which might include a back-up utility. One of the problems with using back-up utilities, though, is that they tend to back up all your content into an own-brand format that can only be re-opened by another phone of the same brand.
If the back-up utility just doesn't do what you need it to then you're going to have to divide the back-up process into separate parts, starting with your contacts. There are several third-party SIM back-up programs that let you stick your SIM card into your PC via an adaptor and back up all your contacts.
Before you try to back up all your contacts off your SIM card, make sure that all of your contacts on your phone are copied on to it, otherwise you'll find that some of them will stay on the phone.
If there are too many contacts and you can't transfer them all on to the SIM card, do it in shifts, transferring the ones that do fit on to your PC, before clearing your SIM and repeating the process.
Alternatively, you can use a Web site like ZYB to back up all your contacts straight from your phone, but you will need a compatible phone, and it's done over a data connection so you might incur charges.
If none of these solutions work for you, unfortunately you'll have to resort to the old-fashioned pen and paper method.
Next up are your text messages, which are probably the hardest thing to back up, but there are a couple of ways to do it. The first is again to try a site like ZYB, which also provides a text back-up service -- you simply text your messages to a special number and they are then stored online.
The only problem with using ZYB is that the forwarded messages won't have the original sender's details or the time it was sent. But if you've backed up your contacts on ZYB then you can add the details for those text messages once you've logged into your account online.
If you don't want to use ZYB, you can always forward your messages to another phone and then back to yourself, but again you won't be able to see who sent it or when it was sent.
Finally,if u r wanting to back up your pictures. This should be fairly straightforward and can be done over a USB cable, infrared or Bluetooth. First off, install whatever CD your phone came with and try connecting your phone to your computer using a USB cable. You should then be able to access your media files.
If that doesn't work then try sending your pictures over infrared or Bluetooth to your PC, but keep in mind that this may take a long time. The other option is to transfer all your photos on to your phone's memory card, if it has one, and then take the memory card out and put it into a card reader that connects to your PC.

1. Click on Start, Run, gpedit.msc, .
2. On the window that will show up, click on Administrative Templates, Network, QoS Packet Scheduler
3. On the right side pane, double click Limit reservable bandwidth, the window shown on Figure 2 will show up. Change this configuration from “not configured” to “Enabled” and the reduce Bandwidth limit (%) from 20% to zero
4. Click on Ok and restart your computer.
It seems that Windows XP reserves 20% of the available bandwidth even if this option is not configured and even if you don’t use QoS (Quality of Service) feature (which is disabled by default).
Keep in mind that there are several other reasons for your download speed not reaching the labeled speed of your Internet connection such as:
The labeled speed of your Internet connection is its maximum speed, not meaning that you will be able to always get that download speed. Your broadband operator only guarantees this speed between your home (or office) and their network.
High traffic on your service provider network.
High traffic on the server you are downloading a file.
Speed limit on the server you are downloading a file (e.g. if the server has its download speed limited to 2 Mbps you won’t be able to reach a higher speed than that).
Route from your home or office to the server where the file is located.
Your Internet connection being shared with other computers at your home or office.
Downloading several files at the same time with P2P programs, eating up part of the available bandwidth of your Internet connection.

Safety Instructions Mobile

HACK PAY PHONES !!!
So here are the tricks to talk for a longer time....Well, I used them way back...don't know if they still work out...But most of them must work...
You can post more tricks if u know....
TRICK 1:
For PCO u can do one thing.....when ur time is coming to end like 5 4 3 2 1 and now its about to disconect simeltinously press "#" and now u can talk on one rupee coin for longer period..........It works for BSNL( I tried once in U.P)....and MTNL
TRICK 2:
And ya u can call by 25-50 pasise coin just tilt the coin boxx to its back side and insert the coin.....now place the coin box and dail the number.......
TRICK 3:
Take a one rs coin make a hole in dat and now tie a rope.....now go to the PCO..with the help of rope insrt that coin but make sure dat rope is in ur finger....as it will say insert coin so insert wid that rope ..........but hold the rope coin should be in with that rope now dail the no............it will connect and then receiver will pick the phone............talk for one call's duration......the beep willl come wich will ask for one more coin.......let the call get dissconected and now pull the ropeto take the coin out.........again use same trick to call that person.
TRICK 4:
This trick works only on 1 rupee coin.....Although quite old,but still works out successfully.....I used to use this trick in my school days in a public PCO.....
Just pick of receiver, then there use the handle on which you keep the receiver.now if you want to dial 9, press and release the handle 9 times (for 0 it is 10 times).the time gap between each should be less than 0.5 seconds. now if you want to do eight, wait for 1 sec and press and release 8 times, etc...and at last wait for the response from phone....

FREE INTERNATIONAL CALLS FROM MOBILES
Rebtel* is a new company with a clever piece of kit allowing you to make calls to 37 countries, again mainly Europe, Israel, North America, Australasia and the Far East, simply by dialing a local rate phone number. Therefore if you've free minutes on your mobile this call will be included, if not you'll only pay a local call rate.
It's a little fiddly to use, and the call quality is good but not great, so its best left for friends and family you call regularly. However as, for example, a 15 min call to the US is free rather than £15 on O2's standard rate, it's worth a fiddle!
How does it work?
To get your free minutes first of all go to the Rebtel site, and click the 'How it works tab', then the Make a smart call' tab on the next page. The first time you call someone using it, enter the person you're calling's number on its site, and it'll text you a local phone number to call. This then works every time you call that person, so save it in your mobile's address book for the future, and you won't need to return to the website. To make free calls:
Dial the local number. You're then connected to the person you're calling and should ask them to immediately call the number they see displayed on their mobile. If they're on a landline, it will send them an e-mail for the first call, the same number's then useable each subsequent time. The number will be a local one in their country. You have only 15 seconds to do this.
Stay on the line. Don't disconnect when they do, just hold on, and once they dial the access number they'll automatically be connected through to you.
There's no limit to the number of free calls you can make via this system. Do make sure you use this call back system to grab your free calls though, if you don't you'll be charged Rebtel's usual rates.
How does Rebtel make its money?
Rebtel's come up with a really clever ploy here. Making international calls to most major developed countries costs virtually nothing as they're just routed through the web; what's expensive is routing a call to a mobile. By getting both parties to call a local number, it's cleverly avoided this. It of course, hopes once you've used its free service, you'll use some of its other, paid for, services too.

Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy some day. A good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. This saves someone from having to drive your keys to you.

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. If your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset, so that even if the thief changes the SIM-card, your phone will be totally useless.
You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use or sell it either. If everybody did this, there would be little point in stealing mobile phones.

How to free more RAM on your phone
Method 1: Flight mode:Put your phone in "Flight mode" with Psiloc System Tools. Install System Tools, open it and select "Flight mode". This way you can restart the phone without your SIM card so there will be no running phone tasks in the background. Now you can have up to 3,5 MB of free RAM!
Note: ironically enough, Flight mode doesn't work when Smart Launcher is installed, at least in my case. But i've also heard several reports of people who have both apps running without any problems.
Method 2: Smart Launcher trick:Install Smart Launcher and open it. Go to Options, Settings and put Launcher ON.Now plug in your charger and switch off your phone. Wait untill the battery meter appears and short press the Menu button (don't hold).The menu should appear and now you can have 3,5 to 4,5 MB free RAM! (Hold Menu button to check RAM).The trick is that with the charger plugged in, the phone must get a minimum software support for charging, even whenthe phone is switched off. And somehow Smart Launcher has still got it's shortcut running and that's the Menu button. So whenyou press the Menu button, you go directly to the Menu without any other phone tasks running in the background soyou trick the phone and you have more free RAM!
Note: when you unplug the charger, the phone will switch off.
Method 3: Menu
This method I found it by myself, it frees a little about 100~200 KB but I guess it's useful sometime
Close your menu not by selecting the right selection key "exit", or pressing the menu key another time, they only hide the menu app but do not close it, to close it select the left selection key "option" and scroll down and select "exit".
So when you open an app needs more ram reopen menu and close it, it's useful when play low bit rate video in realplayer paradis
