Wayne Rooney Tweets a picture of his hair transplant

Wayne Rooney has posted a photo of his hair transplant on Twitter.

The Manchester United striker confirmed he'd had the operation - which involves moving strong hair follicles from other areas to the front of the head - on the social networking site this weekend.

'Hi all there's my head. It will take a few months to grow. Still a bit bloody to. But that's all normal. #hairwego,' Wayne, 25, Tweeted today, along with a photo of his new look.

Wayne, who's married to Coleen, 25, had the op at a Harley Street hair clinic in London.

'Looks like you got a shape up, looks decent. I was expecting a full head a hair + extensions etc!?' Wayne's teammate Rio Ferdinand, 32, wrote in reply to the picture.

Wayne replied: 'Haha few months until that. Rizzle.'
